Last night (August 8) was a successful evening. We had members arriving a bit after 3 and when the bell was rung, the line up was to the door.
We had extra help in the kitchen slicing meat (thank you Wayne and Judy) to keep up with the crowd. Extra helpers pitched in. The dessert table always needed re-stocking as did the ice water. Thank you Jean, John and Scott.
At the end the tally was that we served 140 meals.
We have mentioned before that we never know what will happen at our meals, and last night we had a birthday celebration, with birthday cake. Happy birthday Donna.
Next week will be a BBQ theme with hotdogs, hamburgers and chicken burgers. Served with a variety of salads and the last update that will be macaroni, potato and Caesar salads.
The Friday night team says thank you for everyone who attended and enjoyed an evening of a home cooked meal and social time with your family, friends and neighbours.
