Robbie Burns Dinner

On Saturday January 27, the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums put on a Robbie Burns Dinner at the Grafton Legion.

It was a sold out event.

The Grafton Ladies Auxiliary was in at 9:30am preparing a feast including 60 pounds of roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas, turnip/carrots, coleslaw, buns and featuring “mushy peas”. Dinner included a selection of pies with tea and coffee.

Haggis was also on the menu.

The Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums arranged and put on the festivities for the evening, including piping in the Haggis, Scottish dancers and even gave some dance lessons.

Pictured is the Ladies Auxiliary, with the two meat cutters.

A big thank you to the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums.

Thank you for all who came out.
